Zakrzów Turawski

Sacrau Turawskie (Polish: Zakrzów Turawski ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Sacrau Turawskie located in the municipality Turawskie in Opolski powiat (district of Opole ) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Sacrau Turawskie located 11 kilometers east of the municipal center Turawskie and 23 kilometers northeast of the county town of Opole voivodship and ( | Opole ).

History

The place was in 1574 or 1593 first mentioned. 1759 shot wooden church was built. 1847 a school was built in the place. 1865 had the place at that time written Sackrau - Turawskie, six farms and 20 gardeners and 11 smallholdings.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 271 voters voted to remain in Germany and 225 for Poland. Sakrau - Turawskie remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 874 inhabitants in the village. On 15 June 1936, the place in high field / Upper Silesia has been renamed. 1939, the place had 938 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Opole.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Zakrzów Turawski and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Opolski. On 8 March 2012, the City also received the official German place names Sacrau Turawskie.
