Kraftklub

Kraftklub is a five-piece music group from Chemnitz, connects the rock with a qualified speech-song. The music is usually referred to as a mix of indie, punk rock and rap.

History

On the Splash Festival 2009, the rapper Bernd Bass joined ( Felix grief ) first joint with the rock band Neon block. The end of 2009 they went into the studio together and formed the band Kraftklub. On February 13, 2010, they released their first EP Adonis Maximus on a record release party at Club Chemnitz Atomino. In September, they won the right conferred by various ARD radio stations Music Award New Music Award. Then also some larger labels were aware of them. Since late January 2011, Kraftklub stands at Universal Domestic Rock / Vertigo under contract. Kraftklub appeared as the opening act for the Beatsteaks, Fettes Brot, Casper, The doctors and Rammstein. On August 5, published in 2011 Kraftklub their first single Too young at Universal.

Singer and bassist Felix Till grief are the sons of Ina and Jan grief, the founders of the avant-garde group AG. Violin.

On 29 September 2011 Kraftklub came with the song I do not want to Berlin at the Federal Vision Song Contest 2011 in the state of Saxony, reaching 89 points and thus the 5th Place. The single was released the following day and got into the Media Control Charts at number 45. The debut album with K appeared on 20 January 2012 and reached surprisingly went straight to number 1 of the Media Control album charts. Although the next single songs for Liam was officially released only in April 2012, it reached on 23 March 2012 due to strong download sales number 40 in the German charts.

6 April 2012 gave K.I.Z. and Kraftklub an unannounced concert on the roof of the Chemnitz Commercial Complex Terminal 3 within the limits set by ARTE commissioned documentary series Through the night with .... For Record Store Day 2012 published Kraftklub the song songs for Liam in a version with Casper as a vinyl single. This is limited to 700 copies.

The first concert outside Europe were Kraftklub under the " K Con " tour on September 19, 2012 at Bogotá, Colombia.

On 6 March 2013, the Group announced that it would for sweeping Rock / Alternative National from the list of nominees for the echo in the category, since Kraftklub rejects the group Frei.Wild as a competitor for the award in this category because of their background supposedly right-wing populist. After also MIA. and Doctors had withdrawn participation, Frei.Wild was removed from the list of nominees, and force the club was awarded the " National Critics Award ".

The song Your girl can be heard on the soundtrack of the PC and console game FIFA 13. He is the only German title in the game. Kraftklub has the song Pretty good on the album hinterland of Casper a guest appearance.

Commitment

Kraftklub committed to reading and writing skills. As part of the campaign " iCHANCE ", which is carried out by the Federation Literacy and Basic Education, the band members speak out against illiteracy and make sufferers courage.

  • On 1 February 2013, the pop singer Heino released a cover version of Kraftklub title songs for Liam as an exclusive bonus track on the album, Yours in the download version of the album from iTunes.
  • On September 30, 2013, a music video celebrating the title Vague as a Mirage Chemnitz Stoner rock band Iguana premiere, in the play the music of Kraftklub and bassist Till Brummer a major role.
  • The first line of the chorus of "Songs for Liam ," is an allusion to the scandals of the brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher of the band Oasis.
