Kraków County
The powiat Krakowski is powiat ( county ) in the Polish province of Lesser Poland with the county town of Krakow. He counts over an area of 1229.62 km ² around 250,000 inhabitants.
The district was built as part of the Second Polish local government reform on 1 January 1999.

Geography
The powiat Krakowski encloses the district-free city of Krakow in the west and north and is one of the most densely populated districts Malopolska. Neighboring districts are in the north and Olkusz Miechów, in the east Proszowice and Bochnia, in the south of Wieliczka, the district-free city of Krakow and Wadowice Myślenice and in the west and Chrzanów.
