Under Van Assches directing the Dior Homme fashion was compared to Slimane's designs more commercial and therefore portable. Van Assche turned away from the Slimane preferred, very young and slim men models and Slimane's bonds from the punk scene largely from. His designs, which are very many elements of the classic men's clothing - jackets, suits, pleated trousers, shirts - have, he focuses on often simple, single-color models, mainly in gray, beige, blue, black, white and brown, in small sizes and modern cuts. In 2010 he brought the Dior Homme Petite waist (literally: "Small size " ) collection on the market that is targeted with a denim collection due to the demand in the past to female customers of Mr. Dior Homme.
