Krystyna Zabawska

Krystyna Zabawska (born Danilczyk; born January 14, 1968 in Dąbrowa Białostocka ) is a Polish shot putter.

At the World Athletics Championships 1991 in Tokyo, she was Twelfth and at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona in ten. The following year she was eliminated at the World Championships in Stuttgart in qualifying.

At the 1997 World Championships in Athens, she was eighth. In 1999, she won the silver medal at the World Indoor Championships in Maebashi and was again at the World Championships in Seville eighth.

A fifth place at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney was followed by a tenth at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton, a seventh at the European Championships in Munich in 2002 and each a sixth at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis and the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

Your last major success was the silver medal at the European Indoor Championships in Madrid in 2005. At the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 she finished ninth at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, she failed to qualify.

Krystyna Zabawska won with the exception of 1995 and 2005 in all years from 1991 to 2006 the national championship in the open air and with the exception of the years 1995, 2001, 2002 and 2007 in all years from 1990 to 2008 in the hall.

Her husband Przemysław Zabawski is also her coach. The couple live in Białystok and has a daughter born in 1995.
