Krzysztof Miętus

Krzysztof miętus ( born March 8, 1991, Zakopane ) is a Polish ski jumper.

Career

Krzysztof miętus starts for the KS Start Krokiew Zakopane. His first competition he played since 2006 in the FIS Cup. Best result of the first year was a second place in Zakopane. At the Junior World Cup 2007 in Tarvisio, he came on the 27th rank on the normal hill and was awarded the Polish team sixth in the team competition. For the season 2007/ 08 he was promoted to the Continental Cup and only appeared rarely in the FIS Cup. After a few good results, such as an 18th place on the normal hill in Kranj, miętus could debut in Val di Fiemme ski jumping World Cup in January 2008, but did not reach the finals in both of his jumping passes. Highlight of the season was the Junior World Championships 2008 in the domestic Zakopane. There, the poles of the normal hill could indeed be only 40, but won the team competition on the normal hill with the Polish team behind the Germans and the Austrians the bronze medal. After miętus the year 2008, especially in the Continental Cup spent, but there rarely came in the top 20 and never in the top 15, he was allowed to start in the World Cup in January 2009 in Zakopane again. As part of the so-called national group in the competition must send in an extra contingent of jumpers the host nations, he qualified for the finals, where he was 22 and first World Cup points collected. His previous best World Cup result, he scored 6 December 2009 in Lillehammer, Norway, when he finished twelfth.

At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, he reached in jumping on the normal hill 36th and thus left after the first passage. On 7 August 2010, he won with the Polish team, the Grand Prix team competition in Hinterzarten. In September 2011, he could jump in the Polish Championships on the large hill to the second rank in the individual for the first time on the podium. On January 11, 2013, jumped in the domestic Zakopane and the Polish team to second place in the team competition and achieved his first podium in the World Cup.
