Kublov

Kublov ( German Kublow, 1939-45 Kublau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 15 kilometers west of Beroun and belongs to Okres Beroun.

Geography

Kublov is located in the valley of the brook Kublovský creek in the Křivoklátská Highlands. The village is situated in the conservation area Krivoklatsko. To the north, the Špička (531 m) and Tří raise skalky (491 m ) in the north- east, the skala Krusna hora (609 m ) east of the Veliz ( 595 m), the South East Vraní skala (536 m) and the Jezevčí (491 m), south of the Pískačka ( 447 m) and the Výrovka (517 m), in the southwest of the Jouglovka ( 563 m ) west scaly the Broumské ( 461 m) and the Hřeben (532 m) and in the northwest the Kopaniny ( 466 m ).

History

Archaeological finds that to Celtic and Slavic times was a fortified settlement on the mountain Veliz; it is assumed that the summit was a sacrificial place of the pagan god Veles. According to the Chronica Boemorum to in 1003 Kochan of Vršovec have captured the Premyslid Jaromír during a joint hunt on the old castle site Veliz and tortured. After Jaromír managed to escape, he is said to have erected in 1005 in gratitude for his rescue one of his Patron Saint John the Baptist chapel dedicated. Duke Břetislav I left the Veliz in 1037 the Benedictine monks from the monastery Insola who built a monastery and a provost on the mountain. The first written mention of lying under the desert monastery Veliz Kublov settlement took place in 1558. Church, parish and school were under the patronage of the government. Welis was vicarage for the villages Kublow and Braum and Pürglitzer monolayer Kolleny ( Kolna ) Hirschling ( Hiršlíny ), Warta ( Varta ), Lukarna ( Lukárna ) and Aupoř ( Úpor ). Until the mid- 19th century the village formed an enclave within the Pürglitzer goods and was the kk Rule Tocnik submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Kublov / Kublow formed in 1850 with the establishment Veliz nad Kublovem a municipality in the district court district Rakonitz and Křivoklát. In 1932 Kublov had 936 inhabitants. In 1949 the parish was assigned to the Okres Hořovice, since 1960 it belongs to the Okres Beroun. The nature reserve was established in 1978 Krivoklatsko proclaimed. In 2002, the village consisted of 290 houses and eleven cabins.
