Kurt Alan (Kurdish: Misirc ) is a town and a district in Turkey. It belongs to the province of Siirt and is located in Southeastern Anatolia. Kurtalan located in the western part of the province, bordering on Batman. The district has 56 740 inhabitants Kurt Alan, the town 30 087 (2012 ).

Although the history of the region, which formerly was called Garzan, is old, the city Kurtalan is relatively young. It emerged from the village Misirc. In 1938 the town was renamed in Kurtalan and made ​​the chief town of a district.

In Kurtalan are with Bozhöyük and Çayırlı two ancient settlement mounds from the Chalcolithic period.
