The Kwangwoon University, Kwangwoon German University is a private university in Seoul, South Korea, and one of the most prestigious universities in the country in the field of engineering and natural sciences.

History

1934, the Chosun Radio Training Center of Choi Kwang- woon ( 조 광운 ) was founded as a radio technology training center. 1964 was transformed under Rector Choi Eung - cheon ( 조응천 ) for Electrotechnical University ( Kwangwoon Electronic Engineering College). In 1976 it was renamed Kwangwoon Engineering College, 1981 Kwangwoon College and in 1987 Kwangwoon University, its present name. Symbol of the university is a Pegasus.

Rankings
