Kyle Cumiskey

Kyle Cumiskey ( born December 2, 1986 in Abbotsford, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since 2013 in the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League contract. His brother Clayton is also hockey players.

Career

The 1.78 m tall defender started his professional career with the Kelowna Rockets in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League, having previously spent a season with the Penticton Panthers in the British Columbia Hockey League. In the NHL Entry Draft in 2005 the defender was selected in the seventh round in a total of 222 position from the Colorado Avalanche.

In the 2006/07 season the links Sagittarius was used by the Avalanche in the Albany River Rats, a farm team in the American Hockey League, and he also completed his first NHL inserts for the franchise from Denver. Before the start of the NHL season 2011/12 the defender signed a new one-year contract with the Avalanche.

On October 8, 2011 Cumiskey was transferred to the Anaheim Ducks, the Colorado Avalanche received in return the player Jake Newton and a seventh -round option for the NHL Entry Draft in 2013. Three days later was the defender to Anaheim's farm team, the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League sent. After Cumiskey spent the season 2011/12 exclusively in the AHL, he signed in July 2012 a one-year contract with MODO Hockey of the Swedish Elitserien.
