Kyrgyzstani presidential election, 2000
The presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan in 2000 took place on 29 October 2000.
They were held to elect the President of Kyrgyzstan. The current incumbent, President Askar Akayev was re-elected with over 70 % of the vote, in an election that international observers described the failure to comply with international standards of democratic point of view as a failure.
