Łąka, Olesno County

Lenke (Polish: Łąka ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Lenke is located in the rural community Zembowitz ( Zębowice ) in Oleski powiat ( district of Rosenberg OS) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Neighboring towns of Lenke are in the northwest Koschütz ( Kosice ), in the north wheel ( Radawie ), to the east Zembowitz ( Zębowice ) and in the south Kneja ( Knieja ).

History

The town was first mentioned in Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis as " Lanca ". This was written 1295-1305. 1818 was one of the place a farmer, 17 gardeners, two outworks and two water mills. 1865 was Lenke from the three municipalities upper handlebar, low - Lenke and Antheil - Lenke. Top Lenke had a miller, a farmer, gardener nine and three cottagers. Low - Lenke had a Mueller, five gardeners and cottagers. Antheil - Lenke had a gardener and two cottagers.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 137 voters voted to remain in Germany and 62 for the membership of Poland. Lenke remained with the German Reich. By 1945, the place was in the district of Rosenberg OS

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Łąka and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship and since 1999 he is part of the powiat Oleski. On 23 October 2007 German was in the community Zembowitz who belongs Lenke, introduced as a second official language.
