The Muskoka Lake is a lake of the Canadian shield. The lake is located between Port Carling and Gravenhurst.

Main tributary is the Muskoka River. This gives the seawater also a natural brown color, in contrast to other lakes with crystal clear water.

Located on its banks, the small town Bala ( Ontario) ( part of the community Muskoka Lakes ) which is considered the " Cranberry Capital of Ontario " - and marketed as such in tourism. There is also the drain on the Moon River and the branching off Musquash River. Both rivers flow into Georgian Bay.
