Las Arenas (Cabrales)

Las Arenas is a Parroquia in the municipality of Cabrales in the Spanish province of Asturias.

The Parroquia has a total area of 20.15 km ² and had 882 inhabitants in 2011. Las Arenas is situated in the Picos de Europa National Park at an altitude of 150 m above sea level. The place is located three kilometers away from the regional capital Carreña. Las Arenas is located on the Rio Casaño and in 1910 received its town charter. At the southern end of the village are some of the famous caves maturity ( Cueva de los Quesos de Cabrales ) for the famous Queso de Cabrales you also may like to visit.
