Laurenne Ross

Laurenne Ross ( born August 17, 1988 in Edmonton, Alberta) is an American alpine skier. She drives in all disciplines, but is particularly successful in the disciplines of downhill, super -G and super combined.

Biography

Ross was born in Canada, she learned to ski in Canmore. In her youth, she moved with the family to Klamath Falls in Oregon. Along with the sporty, they also showed musical talent; she plays the violin, piano and cello. Ross took in December 2003 for the first time in FIS races and was able to already celebrating their first victory four months later. The first deployments in Nor- Am Cup followed in November 2006, but had to short out due to injury the season break. In the U.S. Championships in 2008, she surprised with the second place in the giant slalom.

In January 2009, Ross won a race in the Nor- Am Cup, which was enough for 4th place in the giant slalom rating for the first time. In the 2009/10 season they won nine races with which they clearly decided the overall standings as well as the downhill and super-G standings for themselves.
