2013 Alpine Skiing World Cup

The season 2012/2013 the FIS Alpine World Cup, organized by the began on 27 October 2012 at the Rettenbachferner in Sölden and ended on March 17, 2013 on the occasion of the World Cup finals in Lenzerheide.

In the men's 36 races were planned (9 runs, 6 Super -G, Giant Slalom 8, 9 slalom, 2 ( super) combinations and two parallel slaloms ). In the women should 37 races are held (8 runs, 7 Super G, 9 Giant Slalom, Slalom 9, 2 super combinations and two parallel slaloms ). The two races could not be carried out as planned.

At the end of the season, a team competition was held. The parallel slalom were held under the name City event at the Munich Olympic Park as well as in Moscow. The result was one for the overall World Cup and the World Cup slalom.

The highlight of the season was the Alpine World Ski Championships of 4, however, do not count until February 17, 2013 in Schladming, the results for the World Cup.

Tina Maze, who had already been decided seven races left in the season as the overall winner, presented with 2414 points to a new high score. Record holder was previously Hermann Maier was at 2000 points in the 1999/2000 season, the women's Lindsey Vonn with 1980 points in the season 2011 /2012. With 24 podium finishes in a season Maze set a new record.
