Peter Fill

Peter Fill ( born November 12, 1982 in Castelrotto ) is an Italian alpine skier. The South Tyrol is particularly successful in the speed disciplines Downhill and Super- G as well as in the combination. In 2009 he became vice world champion in the super -G.

Biography

In February 1999 Fill won the national junior championships gold in all four disciplines. First international successes came when he was third in the giant slalom at the Junior World Championship 2001 in the Swiss town of Verbier. The following year he won in Tarvisio at the Junior World Championship 2002, the gold medal in the Super -G. Thanks to this title, he could make his debut on 7 March 2002 in the World Cup and went immediately ranked twelve.

Peter is the son of Lucy and Alois Fill and has two sisters: Bettina, the smaller, and Sara, the bigger sister (she was an excellent skier, but had to stop because of back problem).
