Lazinov

Lazinov ( German Lasinow, also Lasinau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers north-west of Letovice and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Lazinov located at the foot of the mountains of the upper Svratka in the Malá Haná ( Small Hanna ). The village is located on the left side of the Křetínka at the dam Letovice. To the north stretches the forest area Ochoz. South-west rises the Brablecův Kopec (546 m) and west of the Špilberk ( Spielberg, 653 m).

Neighboring towns are Vlkov and Stvolová in the north, Skrchov and Slatinka in the northeast, Meziříčko, Nový Mlýn and Svitavice in the east, Letovice, Kněževísko and Zábludov the southeast, Vranová and Vřesice in the south, Sulíkov and Rozsíčka the southwest, Křetín and Dolni Poříčí in the west and Prostřední Poříčí Horni Poříčí and Študlov in the northwest.

History

The settlement of the valley of the Křetínka began in the first half of the 11th century. Was first mentioned in writing that pertains to the rule Letovice village in 1420. Owners at that time were the lords of Lomnitz. 1447 Letovicer the goods were halved.
