Leatop Plaza

Leatop Plaza (Chinese利 通 广场, Pinyin litong Guǎngchǎng ) is a skyscraper in the Chinese city of Guangzhou. Its height is 303 meters. Thus, the building is currently the fifth highest in the city, according to the Guangzhou International Finance Center (437 meters), CITIC Square (390 meters), The Pinnacle (360 meters) and the Pearl River Tower (310 meters). Work on the skyscraper began in 2008 and were completed in the early summer of 2012. Topping-out ceremony was celebrated in the summer of 2010, but the work for the installation of the glass facade had begun at this time. These were completed at the beginning of 2012. On the 64 floors of the building are for the most part, office, occasionally there are areas of technical equipment. However, the building is not open to the public. For planning the highrise German -American firm Murphy & Jahn Architects was responsible. Architectural features of the Leatop Plaze by a sleek silhouette, which rises in the skyline of the city. The floor plan is square, the roof was designed under whose oblique, so that the upper floors also have a smaller floor space than all lying underneath. The entire tower has a floor space of 159,500 square meters.

Inside the building, a central concrete core is in the elevators, tubes and pipes and stairwells are housed. The glazed outer shell and the floor beams were built of steel girders.
