Legacy of Kings (English for " Legacy of Kings" ) is the second studio album by Swedish power metal band Hammerfall. It was released in 1998 and made it to number 15 in the German album charts. The song Heeding the Call was also released as a single.
Formation
All songs were Oscar Dronjak, Joacim Cans and Jesper Strömblad written ( the former drummer of the band ) together. Exceptions At the End of the Rainbow and the Dronjak Cans was co-written with Andy Mueck, the Pretty Maids - Back to Back - cover version, and Stronger Than All that comes from Oscar Dronjak alone.
The album was recorded in 45 days in the studio and was indeed that of the debut album, but for Cans still not satisfactory the quality of the production. He is of the opinion that especially the backing vocals were not enough to bear.
As was on the previous album had even at Legacy of Kings again a number of artists outside the band. So, for example, took over William J. Tsamis ( Warlord ) the part of the lead guitar at At the End of the Rainbow. As a background singer for The Jericho Brothers, Ronny Milianovic, Peter taxes and Per Cederwall occurred.
