Lena Anderssen
Lena Anderssen, ( born 26 September 1974 in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands ) is generally only Lena, is a Faroese -Canadian singer- songwriter. She lives in Torshavn, is next to Teitur Lassen and Høgni Lisberg of the most successful Faroese representatives of their genre.
Lena was born in the Faroe Islands. Her mother is Färingerin, her father Canadians of Norwegian descent. At the age of 2 years she moved with her parents to Canada, where she grew up in Victoria, Vancouver, Thunder Bay, Port Dover and Montreal. Here she put her musical foundation. At the age of 17 years, Lena returned to the Faroe Islands.
Lena's songs are in English. She also speaks fluent Danish and Faroese.
Career
1996 Lena was discovered by the Norwegian drummer Remi Fagereng, she met by chance in a café Tórshavn, where she worked, and some sang to himself. A short time later, she was a singer of his cover band Next Step.
1997 Lena played with the Faroese Musical Skeyk that Niclas Johannesen wrote. Since then, the two form a team. 1998 came out their debut album Long Distance. 2000 Lena and Niclas wrote three songs together with Óli Poulsen, Lenas damaligem producer. I Still Love You was a hit in the Faroe Islands. Poulsen 2004 produced their album Can not Erase It, which appeared in an improved version as an international issue in Denmark in 2005. The title song (" I can not erase " ) deals with their bi-national identity.
In 2002, Lena and Niclas wrote for the then 14 -year-old Brandur Enni the hit Waiting In The Moonlight, the Brandur abruptly beyond the limits of the Faroe Islands also made known. In October 2002, the pair wrote 10 songs for the Christmas radio play Stjørnan ID Hvarv of Útvarp Føroya, which appeared the following year as a Christmas album.

Lena's manager is Richard OGDE, who already had Paul McCartney under contract. 2006, the new album by Lena Niclas Johannesen at Abbey Road Studios, and the Faroese JakZac Studios is produced. It should appear in the autumn of the year. Was mixed by Ryan Hewitt ( currently known for the top album Stadium Arcadium by Red Hot Chili Peppers ). But since it came to artistic disagreements between the two sides, Óli Petersen produced the final version of the album, which is slated for release in 2007.

In September 2007, Lena and band toured as support band Xavier Rudd (Australia) on a European tour and will play several concerts in Germany.

Interest
- During the recording of the new CD in 2006 Lena Paul McCartney met at a coffee shop, but did not dare to speak to him.
- When Sarah Brendel played 2006 in Tórshavn Cathedral, Lena suddenly appeared as a surprise guest and joined on stage to play two pieces - the two knew each other before.
- When Lena and Niclas were almost finished recording the new album in 2006, they thought that one should arrange Ryan Hewitt as a mixer and contacted his manager.
