Leonid Rozhetskin

Leonid Borisovich Roschezkin (also: Rozhetskin; Russian Леонид Борисович Рожецкин; * August 4, 1966 in Leningrad, Soviet Union ) is a Russian entrepreneur, lawyer and financier. He runs the production company L E Productions in Los Angeles, USA.

Biography

Roschezkins comes from a Jewish family in the USSR. 1980 he immigrated with his mother and his siblings to the United States to New York, where he went to high school also. 1987 ended Leonid Roschezkin graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics. In 1990, he completed his law degree at Harvard Law School from a summa cum laude.

From 1990 to 1991, Leonid Roschezkin worked as a legal clerk for the federal judge Sephen S. Wilson in Los Angeles, California, USA. 1992 to 1994 he was employed at the law firms Sullivan & Cromwell and White & Case. 1992 Leonid Roschezkin went back to Russia to open his own law firm. He represented clients such as Credit Suisse, Morgan Grenfell, the Moscow Times and the International Finance Corporation (a division of the World Bank).

In 1995 he moved into the investment industry and founded the investment bank Renaissance Capital.

In 1998 he left Renaissance Capital and was co-founder of venture capital bank LV Finance. His clients included, among other things, the financier George Soros and the founder of CNN Ted Turner. The company invested in several successful startup companies, of which the best known group is the MegaFon, the third largest mobile operator in Russia. His shares in LV Finance Leonid Roschezkin has now been sold.

From 2001 to 2005, Leonid Roschezkin Vice - chairman of Norilsk Nickel, Russia's largest mining company. His responsibilities were transparency, external investments and corporate governance. Among other things, he invested in the Stillwater Mining Company (USA ) and Gold Fields ( South Africa). Later he worked on the board.

Besides Leonid Roschezkin is still shareholder of the free daily newspaper City AM in London. The paper mainly deals with local and global business news and has about 100,000 readers across London.

In 2007, together with Eric Eisner Roschezkin the film production company L E Productions. The first movie Hamlet 2 was published in 2008 and was awarded the Sundance Film Festival in Utah, USA. The reclamation rights have now been ceded for $ 10 million to the publisher Focus Features. The films "Three Wolves " and " Electric Slide " to appear soon.

On March 16, 2008, he disappeared from his home in Jurmala, Latvia.
