Leslie Silva

Leslie Silva ( * April 21, 1968 in Schenectady, New York ) is an American actress.

Life and work

Leslie Silva is in Saratoga, New York, grown up, graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and graduated the Juilliard School with a Master of Fine Arts from. She lives in Los Angeles.

Her debut as a stage actress celebrated Silva 1995 with the Off- Broadway production of Macbeth at the Shakespeare Theater in Washington. In Sam Shepard's one-act play Chicago she had at the Signature Theatre in the following year, her first leading role. Off-Broadway she played the role of Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream ( A Midsummer Night's Dream ) in the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. Silva further with Anna Deavere Smith, Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory worked.

Her first role in a television production, she starred in the series New York Undercover (1996). Silva's debut in a Hollywood production in 1997 was a supporting role in the comedy Fools Rush In - heart over head with Salma Hayek and Matthew Langford Perry. Among her better known films include The Divine Secrets of the Ya- Ya Sisterhood, and the television series Providence (1999) and Odyssey 5 (2002-2003), where she was part of the main cast. Recurring guest roles played Silva in television series such as Homicide, The Agency and Numbers.

Her current project is the U.S. feature film reversion (2008), in which she plays the main role.
