Leung Chu Yan

Leung Chu Yan (Chinese梁柱恩/梁柱恩, Pinyin Liang Zhùēn; * April 21, 1979 in Guangdong Province, China ) is a table tennis player from Hong Kong.

Career

Leung Chu Yan came in 1996 for the first time internationally in appearance, when he reached the quarter-finals in doubles at the Asian Championships. 2000 and 2003 he stood there with his doubles partner Cheung Yuk in the final.

Since 1997 he participated (until 2013 ) participated in 14 World Championships. He won two bronze medals, namely 2006 and 2008 in the team competition. 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012, he qualified for participation in the Olympic Games, where he finished fourth with the team in 2012.

First contacts with the German Bundesliga, there were 1998. Telekom Since Post SV Mülheim his team but retired from professional sports, the planned obligation smashed. In 2003 he joined the club in Würzburg Hofbräuhaus. With the men's team, he was in the 2004/ 05 German champion in 2005 and 2007 and reached the final of the ETTU Cup. In 2007 he moved to the TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen, a year later for SV Pluederhausen. He was the 2008/ 09 German Cup and won the ETTU Cup. In the 2009/10 season he played for the first FC Saarbrücken, since 2010 for the SV Pluederhausen, before 2012 the SVS Lower Austria joined again.
