Lhota u Olešnice

Lhota u Olešnice ( German Lhotta ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 20 kilometers north-west of Boskovice and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Lhota is located in the narrow valley of the Hastrmánka, a tributary of the Tresný creek in the mountains of the upper Svratka in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. North-east rises the Kopaniny ( 688 m) and in the southeastern Vrchy ( 638 m). The place consists of an Upper and Lower Village.

Neighboring towns are Velké Tresné in the north, Lamberk and Olešnice in the northeast, Křtěnov in the east, Louka in the southeast, Prosetín and Ctyri Dvory in the south, Brťoví and Koroužné the southwest, Bolesin and Vir in the west and Vestin, Věstínek and Malé Tresné in the northwest.

History

The village was one of the numerous established after Lhotensystem villages whose settlers were exempt for a certain period of royalties and services to the authorities. The first written mention of the village dates from the year 1250. After the village was 1398 like desolate, took place a little later a re- colonization by the rule Kunstat. In 1790 the village had 117 inhabitants. Until the mid-19th century the place was referred to the passage of time as Lhotec and Lhotka remained to Kunstat submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Lhotka formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Boskovice. In 1900 the community had 187 inhabitants. 1948 Lhota u Olešnice was the newly assigned Okres Bystřice nad Pernštejnem, after its dissolution, the community came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Blansko. In the second half of the 20th century by a significant population decline. 1961 lived only 71 people in Lhota u Olešnice. In 1991, the community consisted of 15 permanent houses used for residential purposes and had 44 inhabitants. 2001, only 14 homes were permanently inhabited and lived in Lhota u Olešnice 34 people. Between 1989 and 1990, Lhota u Olešnice was a district of Olešnice. Since 1 July 1990, the municipality Lhota u Olešnice there again. In the summer of 2006, the low- village was devastated by a flood of Hastrmánka which was swollen to raging river.
