Lidhult

Lidhult is a locality ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Blekinge County, the historical province of Småland. The village in the municipality of Ljungby is located about 30 km from Ljungby, in the southwestern part of the community.

Development in the village

Originally, the building was in Lidhult around the church. After the railroad came to the town center shifted westward to the station. The development consists largely of detached houses in different styles and from different eras. To the west is a large industrial area. The village has several free plots.

Living and working

In the parish of about 900 people, of whom about 410 are employed live. Most commuters drive to work after Ljungby or to Halmstad, but also in the reverse direction.

There are in the parish of about 630 jobs, mainly in manufacturing as well as in the health and care sector. The largest companies are based in Lidhult Kalmar Industries Sverige AB as a manufacturer of mobile lift and transport systems ( industrial trucks ) and Lidhultskök & Interiör, a manufacturer of kitchen and bathroom furniture.

Leisure

There are many active clubs such as the parish, home club, gymnastics club, football club, table tennis club, ski club, home and school associations, gun club and photo club. The local companies have joined forces in the " Lidhultsbygdens företagarförening ". Public meeting places and restaurants are meeting the home, the home of the church, the park of the home club and the community center. Besides school, there is a sports field. However, there is also a gymnasium, an indoor swimming pool, lighted soccer fields, a running track and a shooting range.

The village has a preschool, a leisure center and a school for the cohorts 0-6. The Vintages 7-9 going into the Kungshögsskolan in Ljungby.

In Lidhulds shopping center there are various services such as a gas station, drop-off service for goods delivery service of Systembolaget and pharmacy. In the village you will find services such as post office, bank, hair salon, pizzeria, hotel and restaurant but also a fabric store and a flower shop. Nature and Culture

The area Hunnsbergsområdet with the bog Årshultsmyren are of national interest in terms of nature conservation. The moorlands Lidhultsåsen, Prosteköp and ÅrshultsmyrenNatur are nature reserves. The village Öxnalt is used as a venue for performances of the cultural program of the municipality of Ljungby. Buildings with large cultural value are the old mill with associated buildings and an old farm in Tofthult ( Tofthults mangårdsbyggnad ). In the area around Lidhult there are many beautiful places, such as the swimming area at Lake Askaken and the marketplace in Lidhult.
