Lieksanjoki (Russian Лендерка ) is a river in Russia and Finland. It has its origin in the lake Sula (Russian озеро Сула ) in the Republic of Karelia.

From there it flows in a westerly direction. It flows through the lake Kuikkaselkä and reaches 41 km from the Finnish border. Then it flows through the Ruunaa Recreation Area Lake Ruunaanjärvi. Then the Lieksanjoki flows through the smaller lake Polvijärvi, in which also opens the Tuulijoki. Below these lakes, the river on several rapids, which are popular with riders and kayaking whitewater canoeists.

In the lower reaches of the Lieksanjoki Jongunjoki hits coming from the right on the river. A few miles later, the Lieksanjoki flows through the lake Pankajärvi. After a total of 132 km of Lieksanjoki opens in Lieksa in the L.Pielinen.

The 8255 km ² large catchment area of ​​Lieksanjoki also includes the nearby larger lakes in Russia Leksosero and Tulos.

Kemi Oy operates two hydroelectric power plants on the lower reaches of the Lieksanjoki.
