Lietavská Lúčka

Lietavská Lúčka ( until 1927 slovak " Lietava Lúčka "; hungarian Litvailló - Litvamező to 1907 - to 1902 Ljetavalucska ) is a municipality located with about 1,800 inhabitants in the north of Slovakia on the river Rajčanka.

The town was first mentioned in writing in 1393 as Luchka and was assumed in this context, the rule of Lietava Castle. 1907 was the place Ilove which lies on the right side of the river Rajčanka, incorporated. 1960-1976 included the south to place Porúbka to the municipality, from 1976 to 1990 the community was itself a part of Žilina.

It is located about 4 kilometers south of the city of Žilina; Many inhabitants commute to work in the nearby town.
