Liga Española de Baloncesto

The League Española de Baloncesto ( LEB) is currently the second Spanish basketball league below the ACB league.

History

The name Liga Española de Baloncesto or La Liga was already wearing the 1957 to 1983 under the auspices of the Spanish Basketball Federation in February discharged as a round-robin tournament first game class. After the founding of the resulting in a grouping of professional clubs ACB League Association, the 1983 automatically took over the organization of the first division, the name Primera División went over to the second division still led by FEB. In 1996, finally, the Spanish league system was revised and the name on Española de Baloncesto League or short LEB changed. Since the 2007/ 08 season, currently formed by 18 teams second game class bears the sponsor Adecco LEB Oro, the third is called Adecco LEB Plata.
