The name of the song goes back to the Gulfstream G650 (G6 ). In the song, a sample from Devs commercially unsuccessful song Booty Bounce will be used.
The song rose in the U.S. Billboard charts at No. 1 in Canada the single reached 9th place in the Swiss charts Like a G6 occurred at No. 10, in Germany it rose on 10 December 2010 at number 16 of the Media Control charts. On 12 October 2010 the single was awarded in the United States sold more than one million copies with platinum. Add to Download and airplay charts the USA Like a G6 also reached number 1
In the music video for Like a G6 Erica Ocampo plays the lead role and dance in it with Far East Movement.
