Like Moths to Flames is a founded in 2010, metalcore band from Columbus, Ohio. The group released two albums and one EP on Rise Records. The debut album When We Do not Exist was released in Europe via Nuclear Blast.

History

Founding and first publications

Founded Like Moths to Flames by Chris Roetter beginning of 2010. Previously Roetter active as a singer for Emarosa and Agraceful. In the latter group, he played but only in the short term. By the time clashed with Zach Huston (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Jodran Matz (drums), Aaron Douglas (bass, background vocals) and Aaron Evans ( rhythm guitar, backing vocals) to Roetter. The first single was released on February 7, 2010 and is called Dead routine. An EP then followed on December 14, 2010. This is called Sweet Talker. The EP was released on Rise Records. The musicians gave already 17 October 2010 announced at Rise Records signed a record deal to have. After the release of the EP Jodran Matz left the group. Matz was replaced by Lance Greenfield on drums.

Debut Album: When We Do not Exist

After the group spent the majority of 2011 with tours, the musicians decided to refer to the middle of the year the studio and work on the debut album. Douglas left the group and Evans, which originally was active as a guitarist in the band, moved to the bass. Eli Ford, former at My Ticket Home, became the new second guitarist of the group. 8 November 2011 When We Do not Exist appeared on Rise Records in North America. In Europe the album was released via Nuclear Blast.

In January 2012, the group toured with DRUGS, Hit the Lights and Sparks the Rescue by the United States. In the course of a concert tour with Texas followed in July and Hundredth. Lance Greenfield was replaced on drums by Kevin Rutherford, which, however, only a few months remained in the band. Since 2012, the former drummer of the band The Air I Breathe at Like Moths to Flames is active.

Second album: An Eye for an Eye

Early 2013, the group was headlining the Rise Records Tour, which led by the U.S.. As opening acts were Palisades, Crown the Empire, The Color Morale and My Ticket Home. Later, the musicians announced that they are working with Will Putney at the second studio album. On 29 May 2013, the Group announced that the album An Eye for an Eye will be called and will be released on July 9. The album debuted at number 62 on the U.S. charts and stayed there for a week on. The group spent the summer of 2013 on the Warped Tour. In November 2013 European concert tour followed as the opening act for Parkway Drive, Memphis May Fire, and We Came as Romans. The concerts took place in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Austria and the United Kingdom.

Between January and March 2014, the group with Fit for a King, Stray from the Path and The Plot in You toured as the opening act for For Today on their Fight the Silence album release tour.
