Lily Mariye

Lily Mariye ( born September 25, 1964 in Las Vegas, Nevada ) is an American actress and filmmaker. She is known for her role sister Lily Jarvik on the television series ER - Emergency Room.

Life

Mariye studied at UCLA and reached a BA in acting.

She had her first film appearance in 1982 The most beautiful House of Pleasure in Texas. This was followed by several guest appearances in television series such as in Fame - The Path To Glory (1982 ), Family Ties (1984 ), St. Elsewhere (1985 ), Jake and McCabe - Through Thick and Thin (1989 ), Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993 ), Melrose Place (1995-1996), Chicago Hope - Final hope ( 1996), Ally McBeal (2002), Judging Amy (2005), Shameles (2011) and NCIS: Los Angeles ( 2013). From 1994 to 2009 she played the sister Lily Jarvik on the television series ER - Emergency Room. For the presentation of this role she won, along with colleagues, four Screen Actors Guild Award.

Other films in which she played include American Geisha (1986) Switch - The woman in a man (1991 ), The Skull Killer (1992 ), Shadow and the curse of Khan (1994 ), American Pie Presents: The Next Generation (2005) and Extraordinary Measures (2010). She is also an award - excellent theater actress.

In 2000 Mariye operated in the short film The Shangri- la Café as a director, screenwriter and film producer. The film was screened at over 25 film festivals around the world and won, among others, the Best Short Film Award at the Moondance International Film Festival ( 2001) and the Best Screenplay Award at the Brussels International Independent Film Festival ( 2000). The screenplay for the film also won several awards, such as on the Ohio Independent Film Festival (2003 ) and the Gaffers Film Festival. Mariye received the award filmmaker of the year by the National Organization for Women awarded.

2012 published the filmmaker on the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival her film Model Minority, where he received three awards. He got Two Awards 2013 at the London Independent Film Festival and the Asians on Film Festival, and one each on the DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival (2012), the Asian American International Film Festival ( 2012), the Las Vegas Film Festival (2012 ) and the Sacramento International Film Festival ( 2013).

Mariye since September 1985 married with saxophonist Boney James.
