Linda Kelsey

Linda Kelsey ( born July 28, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota ) is an American actress.

Life

Kelsey began her career in the early 1970s. Her film debut was in the TV movie The Picture of Dorian Gray, which was based on the novel by Oscar Wilde, and had subsequently guest roles in television series such as The Rockford Files - Just call and Starsky & Hutch.

Familiarity with the U.S. television audience she obtained in 1977 for her role as Billie Newman in the television series Lou Grant, which she played until 1982 in 111 episodes. For her performance she was nominated consecutively for five years with the Emmy they never received. She was also nominated three times in a row for the Golden Globe and won the award once. After the show was canceled, she could not connect to their success and played several years only minor roles in television productions.

Between 1988 and 1989 she starred in 33 episodes starring in the sitcom Day by Day, but this was discontinued after the second season.
