Linstead is a town in the interior of Jamaica. The city is located in Middlesex County in the Parish of Saint Catherine. In 2010, Linstead had a population of 22,757 people and is the eighth-largest city on the island

Geography

Linstead is located in a valley of the Blue Mountains. The city lies between two other major cities. Each in the immediate vicinity of borders Linstead to Bog Walk south and northwest of Ewarton. Also northwest of the city there is a large bauxite mining. In this region, the three cities that are surrounded by several small villages and fields, the largest settlements of which Linstead is regarded as the commercial center.

Economics and History
