Lipinka (Olomouc District)

Lipinka ( German Lepinke ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers north-west of Uničov and belongs to Okres Olomouc.

Geography

Lipinka located in the highlands Úsovská ( Ausseer hills ) at the southern foot of the Bradlo (600 m). In the south, the hills rise Kárník (400 m) and Skalka (425 m). To the east runs the railway line Uničov - Šumperk, at which the next train stop is located in Nová Hradečná.

Neighboring towns are Obědné in the north, Horni Libina and Dolni Libina in the Northeast, Nova Hradečná in the east, in the southeast Sídliště, Pískov in the south, Klopina the southwest, Veleboř in the west and Rohle and Kamenná in the northwest.

History

Lipinka was first documented in 1371. Surrounded by woods and was formerly a village of woodcutters and charcoal burners.

After the abolition of the patrimonial place came in 1850 with the county Litovel. By 1880, was the Czech name of the place Lipinka. In 1910 Lipinka was / Lepinke part of the district Šternberk. 1930, the place had 377 inhabitants, of whom 345 were Czechs and 14 German. After the Munich Agreement of belonging to the chi between linguistic island town was annexed to the German Reich and belongs to the district from 1939 to 1945 Sternberg. In 1939 the village had 369 inhabitants. Between 1945 and 1960 Lipinka was part of Okres Šternberk again and, after its dissolution in 1961 associated with the Okres Šumperk. Since 1 January 2007 Lipinka belongs to Okres Olomouc.
