List of Bishops of Hildesheim

The oldest testimony to the history of the Hildesheim diocese is in the form of an unpublished list of bishops that has been handed down in the Sacramentary of 1014. There are probably even older, but not longer extant Bishop lists. In the list that is obtained in the Sacramentary of 1014, will release the first thirteen bishops of Gunthar to Bernward, without counting, listed for the period 815-1014 and two subsequent consecutive writers to Bishop Udo ( 1079-1114 ) supplemented.
