List of community currencies in the United States

This list of regional funds or list of regional currency initiatives includes the well-known until 2013 initiatives to so-called regional currency. This list is not exhaustive and may be updated continuously.

Germany

Existing initiatives with circulation safeguard

  • Amper dollars in Dachau and region ( Bavaria ) (analogous to the Chiemgau ).
  • Augusta, Göttingen ( Lower Saxony). Peripheral securing of about 8% / year. Token is stuck at regular intervals. set 2011
  • Mountain valleys. Circulation safeguard of about 12 % / year. Token is stuck on a monthly basis. There is the acquisition a bonus of 3% to move customers to participate.
  • Berlin was issued by the Regional Association Regional BERLINER from February 2005 to Berlin and replaced with a value of 1:1 against the Euro. For the return swap in EUR a fee of 5 % was to be paid, 3 % of which were regional, community service projects benefiting and 2 % were used for the cost recovery of the issuing association. Berlin Regional were at first edition valid for 6 months. After expiry, the vouchers could be exchanged for new, for which a fee of 2 % of the nominal value was raised. From the fourth month after the end of the order and the redemption fee is increased by 1% for each month. In March 2007, the outstanding 11,000 Berlin Regional of 189 businesses and residential subscribers were accepted. In April 2009 it was announced that the project will not proceed.
  • Bethel - euro vouchers of v.Bodelschwingh Institutions Bethel in Bielefeld. Limited to staff and residents of the prisons. With edition bonus of 5 % for the user.
  • Citizens bloom in Kassel
  • Carlo ( regional ) in Karlsruhe (Baden- Württemberg). Circulation safeguard as Chiemgau. Starting January 2005.
  • Chiemgau circulation safeguard 8% / year Chiemgau in the region Chiemgau ( Bavaria ) in the counties of Rosenheim and Traunstein, with about 500,000 inhabitants. With a circulation rate of over 550,000 CH ( Chiemgau ) throughout the year, the largest regional currency in Germany. Combined voucher system with cashless payment card and accounts system. Circulation safeguard 8% / year. Electronic Chiemgau: 30 days no devaluation. After daily devaluation ( 0.022% per day). Redemption Chiemgau in EUR minus 5% VAT = regional contribution. Of this, 3 percentage points to charitable projects and associations, 2 percentage points are used to cover costs of the system. The Chiemgau was started by the Waldorf school teacher Christian Gelleri as a project with six students in 2002. Due to the size of an operating company was founded as a cooperative in 2007. It can be paid to about 600 points of acceptance with Chiemgau. Annual turnover of the company in 2011 approximately 6.2 million EUR, 2010, approximately 5 million EUR, in 2009 approximately 4.0 million EUR.
  • Coinstatt in the Ruhr area (NRW). Circulation safeguard 10% per year ( monthly direct debit from the account online ). The currency is performance- covered and is similar to the WE system. Coins are accepted to a certain percentage next to the Euro. Online accounts for all members, payments by bank transfer or Coinscheck. Launch in February 2007.
  • Donautaler in Riedlingen, Baden- Württemberg. Circulation safeguard 2% per half year, starting 23 July 2010.
  • Donauwörther 10 in Donauwörth
  • DreyEcker in Schopfheim, Baden- Württemberg. Is under construction. Circulation safeguard 8 %, 2 % per quarter to non-profit associations and organizations.
  • Angel money in Wittenberg, regional currency by the Association Neudeutschland.
  • Elbtaler in the Dresden region
  • Hallertau district Pfaffenhofen ( Bavaria). Peripheral securing of about 8% / year. A fee level of 2 percent of the nominal value must be stuck per quarter. Start November 2004.
  • Hellweg Taler in the Soest
  • Freitaler in Freiburg im Breisgau
  • Havel bloom in Potsdam and Brandenburg. Circulation safeguard 2% in marks per quarter, performance- covered, start 24. June 2006.
  • Justus (region ), casting, starting March 2004.
  • Kannwas circulation safeguard 5% / year Kannwas in Schleswig -Holstein. Circulation circuit breaker of 5 % / year ( expiry money). 3% per year to non-profit associations and organizations. Start in January 2004
  • Landmark of economic ring Reinstädter Country Market ( Southeast Thuringia), including Jena, Kahla, Saalfeld, Rudolstadt
  • Lausitz in southern Brandenburg and east of the Free State of Saxony. Starting on September 10, 2011.
  • Lech Valley in and around Augsburg
  • Linde Taler in the Leipzig / Halle. Each member receives 50 LT welcome money and a monthly unconditional basic income in the amount of 50 LT, so any product or service offered in the Linde - Taler circuit can be acquired. Circulation safeguard 5% per month, percentage of companies about 10 %, payments by bank transfer.
  • Markgraefler (region ), Heiterheim. Start the summer of 2004
  • Oberlander (region ) in the district of Bad Tölz - Wolfratshausen. Conjunction with the Regional Ostallgaeu and the regions in Munich. Starting January 2005.
  • Ostallgaeu. Starting on 8 March 2007, following the example of the Chiemgau, in association with the Oberland regions and the regions in Munich.
  • Palatine in Palatine ( discontinued due to low usage, 2011)
  • Pauer in and around Aachen, some points of acceptance even in the Dutch and Belgian border area, starting April 25, 2010

  • Sterntaler (region ) in the district of Berchtesgaden Country ( Ainring ), circulation safeguard of 8 % / year, with quarterly revenue stamp of 2% of the nominal value. 200 participating companies with an annual turnover of approximately EUR 0.7 million in 2006. Since 1 January 2008 close networking with the Chiemgau with complete compatibility
  • Urstromtaler in Saxony -Anhalt ( Güsen ). Circulation safeguard vouchers at 5% per year ( expiry money). Accounts 1.2% ( 0.1% monthly )
  • Roland in Bremen and the Osterholz and environment. Started as the first modern regional currency in late 2001 with a 5 -Roland Bill, circulation safeguard 12 % / year. There are also awarded small loans for the promotion of regional organic farming. Since 2010, there is only an electronic version of the Roland with voucher system and extensive central account management.
  • The Regio in Munich. Since 15 January 2007 in conjunction with the Regional Ostallgaeu and the Oberland regions without clearing house
  • Rössle Regional. Since December 2, 2006 in Stuttgart.
  • Stader Regiogeld. Since 1 July 2007 Regiogeld in conjunction with loyalty cards and vouchers in Stade, Wöhlke EDV-Beratung GmbH.
  • Weyhe - Stuhr- Syker Regiogeld. Since 2003, regional money in connection with loyalty cards and vouchers in Weyhe, Stuhr and Syke.
  • ZELLER is the regional currency of Zell ( Mosel), which was first used in 2005.
  • ZschopauTaler ( ZPT ). (August 17, 2007 - February 28, 2014 ), Regio money in Mittweida / Frankenberg / Waldheim / Hainichen / Floeha / Augustus Castle region in Saxony. Quarterly allowance of 8% circulation assurance / year.

Austria

  • Waldviertel Regional. Circulation safeguard of about eight percent per year. Every three months, must be stuck on a revenue stamp of two percent of face value. Tobin tax - 5%.
  • Gösingtaler. Regional currency of romance Republic Gösing. If redeemed in Gösing, a place of community Puchenstuben and various partner companies in the region. A Gösingtaler corresponds in value to one euro.
  • Tyrolean hour. Regional currency for Tirol. Unit is a (working) hours, rated for initial orientation with 20 euros.
  • Styrrion. Regional Currency for the Styrian bay. A Styrrion corresponds in value to one euro. Valid according at least one year after issuance. Available in denominations of 1,2,5,10,20,30. Student companies of the Independent Waldorf School Graz.
  • " Ulbricht ", " Zeller ", " purchase gold ", " Ausseer Taler ", " Judenburger Gulden ", " Sass- Taler " are other local payment systems in Styria.
  • Blue Frank (Hungarian Kékfrank ). Cross-border regional currency between Burgenland and Westungarn.1 Blue Frank = 1 forint

Switzerland

Brazil

In Brazil, there are several regional currency projects. The Palmas is a currency a company founded by the parish priest Joaqin de Melo Bank in a ghetto on the outskirts of the city of Fortaleza.

The money will be issued in the form of interest-free microloans. The project by the National Secretariat for Solidarity Economy in the Brazilian Ministry of Labour, in particular by their manager Paul Singer is supported. The Ministry is partly on guarantees for these currencies. They can therefore be exchanged at a discount in the local currency Real.
