List of current world boxing champions

This is a list of the four reigning world champion boxer known world associations: World Boxing Association (WBA ), World Boxing Council (WBC ), International Boxing Federation (IBF ) and World Boxing Organization ( WBO). Interim World Champion are not listed.

The WBA Association awards under certain conditions several world titles: If a WBA champion combines his title with the title of the associations WBC, IBF or WBO, he is " Unified Champion" declared and the "regular", then subordinate world title is reassigned. But there are also exceptions, the " Super Champions " the WBA, who hold no other title. Longer periods between duty defenses the champion will be given the opportunity to fight the mandatory challenger of the other associations. The frequently used term " Undisputed Champion" ( " undisputed " ) leads to confusion, because in common parlance is not the most controversial policies of the WBA, but simply the linear champion or the best boxer is meant his weight class.
