List of lakes in Switzerland with an area of about 1 sq. km. The extremes are highlighted in bold. The biggest Swiss lake is Lake Geneva with 345.31 km ² Swiss share. The Swiss portion of Lake Constance has never been established without controversy. The Swiss shore of Lake Constance is 72 km compared with 173 km from Germany and 28 km from Austria about a quarter of total bank. The Federal Statistical Office indicates the Swiss proportion of the area with 172.86 km ². Thus, the Constance Lake Constance is the third largest lake in the Lake of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. Neuchâtel is the largest lake that lies entirely in Switzerland.
