List of statues of Vladimir Lenin

Lenin monuments were erected in many cities of the Soviet Union and other socialist states since the death of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. They arose in the course of a personality cult developed around him and should honor Lenin as Communist mastermind and founder of the Soviet Union. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the political changes, many of these monuments were dismantled or destroyed. Outside the former Soviet bloc, there have been some monuments to Lenin. Only these are shown in the following contribution and are grouped by continents. Few sculptures were already before the year 1990 in the places mentioned here. Namely, they are often passes through donation or purchase on their current locations.

  • Fremont in Seattle (Washington) - near the Fremont Sunday Market. The 30 -ton bronze sculpture was introduced by the U.S. citizens Lewis Carpender from the town of Poprad in Slovakia.
