Ljubljana Stock Exchange

The Ljubljanska borza ( Ljubljana Stock Exchange ) is the stock exchange in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and a subsidiary of the CEE Stock Exchange Group.

A first exchange existed in Ljubljana from 1924 until 1942. Today's stock market was refounded December 26, 1989 based on two capital- protective laws. At the only stock exchange in Slovenia on weekdays from 9.30 to 13.00 clock equities, government bonds and investment certificates are traded.

Are calculated four indices;

  • SBI 20 ( Slovene stock exchange index)
  • SBI TOP ( Slovene Blue Chip Index )
  • PIX ( Investment Funds Index )
  • BIO (bond index)

The stock market has 29 employees (as of 31 December 2006), in fiscal year 2005 total sales of approximately € 3 million was generated.

Takeover by the Vienna Stock Exchange

In June 2008, the Vienna Stock Exchange has taken over 81 % of the shares of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange for 20 million euros. 2010, the Ljubljana Stock Exchange was incorporated as a subsidiary of the CEE Stock Exchange Group.
