OTP Bank

OTP Bank Rt is the biggest Hungarian bank companies and in Hungary as well as many Central and Eastern European countries active. The company is listed as a public company on the Budapest stock exchange and included in the stock index BUX.

The abbreviation OTP stands for Országos Takarékpénztár ( National Savings Bank ).

Came out the company of the same name, founded in 1949, state-owned National Savings Bank OTP, which was privatized in 1991 as well as the other two state-owned banks Bank for Foreign Trade and Investment Bank.

Due to ambitious acquisitions since privatization the OTP Group is now also in Slovakia, the Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, and recently also represented in Russia.
