Lluther

Lluther is an alternative rock band from Dublin, Ireland. It emerged from the group Skindive, left over from a line-up change after the singer Gerard " Gerry " Owens and drummer Gerard " Ger " Farrell.

History

Gerry Owens, the singer of the band is working after the separation from Skindive in 2002 for almost 2 years in his own Black- Cell Studios debut album Agents of Empire.

In 2004 Lluther is complemented by guitarist Declan " Dek " Hynes, guitarist Anthony " Ant " Kiernan and French bassist David " Chief" Blanc.

This is followed by concerts in and around Dublin, inter alia, the opening act of the Finnish band HIM in 2004.

Beginning of 2005 passes the limited debut single of the band Venus Complex EP that Lluther offer a recording contract in the hands of the German record company gravure music. This is followed by their first gigs opening for Limbogott, which also are in gravure music under contract, in September 2005, as well as an appearance at the Popkomm.

The gravure again launched Single Venus Complex EP joins the German Alternative Charts. On 28 October 2005 the debut album Agents of Empire, which was named " Product of the month New Industrial" in the magazine Sonic Seducer to appear.

This is followed by the single Fixer goes into the German alternative charts for 18 weeks between October 2005 and February 2006, with a corresponding video clip. In addition, the band goes for the first time on tour in Germany.

In January and February 2006 Lluther accompanied the German band Die Krupps on their reunion tour. The Krupps - frontman Jürgen Engler created a remix for the following Lluther - Single People is Ugly.

In May 2006, followed by a small support tour for labelmates the band Limbogott which Lluther have become close friends.

In the meantime, leave Bassist " Chief" and guitarist "Ant " for personal reasons, the band, where " Chief" is replaced at short notice for the above tour by Gavin Fox from Idlewild before the former JJ72 bassist Sarah Fox the occupation in July 2006 again completed.

The band opened the Mera Luna Festival in summer 2006.

It is a live video to American Gods and the single For You have been published, including a music video. This made Lluther known to a wider audience.
