Lorraine Toussaint
Lorraine Toussaint ( born April 4, 1960 in Trinidad ) is an American actress.
Life and achievements
Toussaint's family immigrated to the United States when she was ten years old. She studied drama at the Juilliard School. The actress made her debut in the TV drama The Face of Rage from the year 1983. In television drama In the Network of Violence ( 1986) she played opposite Richard Crenna one of the major roles. In the adventure comedy The Dream Dancer (1989 ), she took over a larger role alongside Burt Reynolds and Casey Siemaszko.
In the thriller Codename: Nina (1993 ) Toussaint was seen on the side of Bridget Fonda and Gabriel Byrne. From 1998 to 2002 she played in the television series Any Day Now one of the two lead roles. For this role she was nominated in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 for the Image Award.
