Losone
Losone is a municipality in the district of Isole, in the district of Locarno in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland.
Geography
Losone located on the banks of the River Maggia and Melezza and borders the municipalities of Ascona, Locarno, Terre di Pedemonte and Cento Valli. The municipality comprises the villages of Al Ponte, Arbigo, Arcegno, Monti di Losone, Saleggi, San Giorgio, San Lorenzo, San Rocco, Trisnera, the industrial area Zandone, the nature reserve Collina di Maia and the wooded mountain area under the Corona dei Pinci Val Brima.

Economy
Because of its shallow and central location Losone site of many craft shops and some industrial plants. The two largest companies in the city are the precision machinery factory Agie, which belongs to Georg Fischer AG, and the optical components factory Diamond SA.
Tourism
Losone is now a popular holiday resort with apartment buildings, 15 hotels and 30 restaurants. A 2001 landscaped golf course in the pouring Cento Valli is traversed by a stream, which flows into the Maggia.
