Louis II, Count Palatine of Zweibrücken

Called Ludwig II of Palatinate -Zweibrücken the Younger ( born September 14, 1502 in Zweibrücken, † December 3, 1532 in Zweibrücken) was from 1514, Count Palatine and Duke of Palatinate -Zweibrücken and Count of Veldenz.

Life

Ludwig was the eldest son of the Count Palatine and Duke Alexander von Zweibrücken (1462-1514) from his marriage to Margaret (1480-1522), daughter of Count VI force. von Hohenlohe in New stone. Since he was still a minor when his father died, Ludwig stood until 1519 under guardianship of his mother and Assistant Directors. Marriage and issue

Ludwig II married September 10, 1525 in Kassel Elisabeth ( 1503-1553 ), daughter of the Landgrave William of Hesse. The wedding had to be postponed because of the first outbreak of the Peasants' War. By Elizabeth Ludwig II had the following children:
