Louis Milon

Louis -Jacques- Jessé Milon (* 1766, † November 25, 1845 in Neuilly -sur- Seine) was a dancer, choreographer and mime.

Milon was premier danseur at the Académie royale de musique in Paris. After that, he was a highly successful ballet master at the Théâtre de l' Ambigu -Comique on the Boulevard du Temple. Later he was on the side of Pierre Gardel ballet master at the Paris Opera, where he 1790-1826 numerous ballets created, which have been performed at the most important stages in Europe. Besides his work as a choreographer, he was also one of the last great teacher of the pantomime ballet version of the Commedia dell'Arte.

In his works he relied on the talent of the French dancer Émilie Bigottini.
