Louis Nganga a Ndzando

Louis Nganga a Ndzando (* 1923 in Ndeke Mabela, † February 13, 2014 in Lisala ) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Lisala in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Life

Louis Nganga a Ndzando received on 22 February 1953, the ordained priest for the diocese Lisala.

Pope John XXIII. appointed him on 18 April 1961 in Lisala Bishop and Titular Bishop of Athyra. The Bishop of Lisala, François Van den Berghe CICM, consecrated him on 28 October of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were Léon Théobald Delaere OFM Cap, bishop of Molegbe, and Joseph -Albert Maloula, Auxiliary Bishop in Leopoldville.

He participated in the first, second and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on 25 November 1964 Bishop of Lisala. On July 6, 1997, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
