Louka (Blansko District)

Louka ( German Lauka ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers south of Olešnice and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Louka is situated in the mountains of the upper Svratka, a part of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands, at the southern foot of the hill Hradisko ( 635 m). The village lies to the east of the nature reserve Svratecká hornatina. To the northeast, the Kamperk (Comb Mountain, 640 m) and Kocholík rise ( 651 m ) east of the Horničí (701 m), in the south the Třešinka ( 651 m ) southwest of the Chocholík ( 575 m) and northwest of the Vrchy ( 638 m).

Neighboring towns are Crhov in the north, Rozsíčka and Sulíkov in the Northeast, Petrov and Rozseč nad Kunštátem in the east, Josefov and Hluboké u Kunštátu the southeast, Tasovice and Žalov in the south, Hodonín in the southwest, Ctyri Dvory Prosetín and Brťoví in the west and Loucký Dvůr Lhota u Olešnice and Křtěnov in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village and the castle Louka was made in 1360 as the property of Proček of Lomnice. Since 1391 Vorwerkshof Loucký Dvůr is detectable. As of 1406, the reign the lords of Boskowitz and from 1464 was once again a branch of Lomnitzer. In 1496 bought Wilhelm II of Pernštejna Louka the castle with the associated villages and beat them to the reign Pernštejna. Vratislav of Pernštejna sold the Laukaer goods from 1582 to Friedrich von Hardegg on Letovice. In 1591 the castle was called desolate. Since the 17th century Louka was the rule Kunstadt submissive. In 1790, 223 people lived in the village. West of Louka were two mills on the Hodonínka.

After the abolition of patrimonial Louka formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Boskovice. In 1900 the community had 258 inhabitants. 1903, the school was inaugurated. The road from Olešnice about Louka after Rozseč nad Kunštátem was 1922. 1938 lived in Louka 268 people. With the beginning of 1961 the church was assigned to the Okres Blansko. In the second half of the 20th century by a significant population decline. In 1980 Louka consisted of 44 permanent houses used for residential purposes and had 181 inhabitants. 1990 only 29 houses were permanently inhabited and lived in Louka 104 people. Between 1989 and 1993 Louka was a district of Olešnice. Since 1994, the community is Loukov again. On the evening of July 15, 2002 swelled the Hodonínka and their inflow Crhovský creek after a strong thunder on to torrents. The land of Louka includes the large forest area Loucká obora that once belonged to the castle.
