Love in Bloom is a song from the movie She Loves Me Not (1934 ), where it is sung by Bing Crosby. The music was written by Ralph Rainger, while the text of Leo Robin comes.

Background

The author duo Rainger and Robin wrote the song originally for the movie temple of beauty, but there was no use. The song was eventually sung by Bing Crosby in the film She Loves Me Not. His version also appeared as shellac record (Brunswick 6936 ). The song received a 1935 Oscar nomination for Best Song.

The song became popular not just by the film, but was also used by Jack Benny for his TV and radio show, and was used by the latter as a running gag. He reached as more awareness, so that the score has sold over half a million times. Jack Benny used the song for the turning point of his career during the Second World War. Benny, known as a comedian, appeared at a benefit show at the Hollywood Bowl in 1944 and played the song as Violin Concerto with Alfred Wallenstein and the Los Angeles Philharmonic in earnest and unsmiling and received a standing ovation from both the audience and the orchestra itself.
